world war II retraced

  audie leonard murphy

  Jack Sher and Henry Silva

maybe Altus and Elk city will forgive us,
we have our time spent on Burt Topper,
instead of Tom Spencer,
we trace our record breaking posts into 20th century,
learning from Pamela Murphy and Audie Murphy,
knowing Ray Teal, John Saxon, Roy Clark, Donna Reed,

the afternoon sun is brown and shy,
hot sunray quit its extreme emotion,
hiding its face into clouded ocean,
River Rhine and Saint Tropez,
Camp Wolters and City of Waco, Katy, and El Paso in Texas,
all undo their offspring to catch firefly behind Randolph Scott, Tom Brokaw, David Smith

June and May memory,
Jesse Hibbs, Dan Duryea, Joseph Mankiewicz, James Best, and Tom Carr add their coins,
brighter and shinier light scope the den of Gorden Hays
I listen to Barack Obama, George Bush, Laura Bush, Mike Pence, and Donald Trump,
I increase my heartbeats by running cross Baylor University campus,
knowing well of Corinne murphy, Robert Stevens, Stephen McNally, Venetia Stevenson...

poets rally week 84, napa cabbage and metaphors

Andrew Schwab  "A baggage of cabbage slung over my back"
A baggage of cabbage slung over my back
It's starting to smell, but don't open the sack.
Cause for all I know it could be much more,
perhaps it will kill me, dead, onto the floor.

But as I grow weary, and my eyes get teary,
the sack seems to reek with despair.
Oh what the hell, I'll take a look.
To see what is really there.

As I come to find out, it was indeed what I thought
This "baggage of cabbage" has finally been caught.
